Our History

With just a few of us and a drum in the corner of the RRE, the Athleticos was born. Sadly this was short lived with a ban of the group at BP within 2 months, the club *cough* Big Baz, wasn't a fan, and deemed it too dangerous.

After a full year away, LJ called for the fans to make some atmosphere for the lads. After multiple meetings with the club we were allowed back, but only if we relocated to the Chaddy End.

We were back, in a corner... but back! With only a handful of us, some great memories were made both home & away, first team, youth team, friendlies Oldham girls, we were there for it all. With the drum, banners, flags & some noise to go with it.

After the vote for the move of the home end to the RRE. So... yet another move... and oh look... another corner! Whilst we made it our home, it hosted 2 questionable owners and 1 relegation, not so many great memories to hold on to.

Prior to the pandemic, multiple trials of the middle block had been a success. The return to the terraces & we were in prime spot! The atmosphere was electric with 300 noisy blues but sadly the first season  ended in relegation & a  few protests... but we had nothing to do with that...

After 10 years and now playing in non-league, we now find a full block with the best atmosphere BP has seen since the Premier League days. Through the hard work and dedication from all our members over the 10 years, we have something to be proud of, and we're just getting started...
